Extra Credit opportunity
With a new semester means a fresh start on the grades. Last week I announced to the class that if they would like extra credit, they may do so by bringing in a ream of computer paper. Students can bring as many as they like, but can only receive 20 points maximum. This is completely optional and will not be counted against them if they choose not to bring any in. For those students who brought in paper, it will temporarily inflate their grades and you will see it come back down to normal levels as the semester progresses. Thanks and thank you for all your contributions! I will provide other chances for extra credit later this semester.
Dear Parents and Students,
We are now entering chapter 12 in our textbooks and all notes for chapters 12-14 can be found in the Unit 5 Folder in the 'U.S. History' Folder on this website. Thanks!
Unit 4 Folder
We have started chapters 10-11, and notes for these can be found in the Unit 4 Folder under 'US History'. Thanks!
We are returning after a nice Thanksgiving break and have 3 weeks left until the semester is over. This is the time where I would like to encourage all students to get any late/missing work in before it's too late. Also, we have an assessment and a final exam in our short future, so we want to make sure we are staying up to date with assignments and coming to class for review. Thanks!
American Revolutionary War Project
Two weeks ago your child brought home a list of projects that they could choose from to complete for our 'Revolution Unit'. They are to pick only one of the bullet points from the front and back (1 total) and complete by 10/7. This is rapidly approaching and I will be reminding the students this upcoming Monday again about its completion and due date. I'm excited to see all the wonderful projects next Friday! Have a great weekend!
America The Story of Us Video and Worksheet
The Worksheet and the Video for 'America the Story of Us' have been added to the Unit 2 Folder. If you lost your paper or need to watch the video, it's there.
We are currently in Unit 2, so all notes that are to be done at home can be found under the UNIT 2 folder in the U.S. HISTORY Folder.
You are a rock star!
World history is about the story of our life. How we got here, where we've been, and where we are going! We have the opportunity to learn from our past and be the best person we've ever imagined. Whether in life or in the classroom, we become our best by giving our best. Let's be awesome together and see how great we can be!
